Ordered an Orbit Iris Hose Faucet from eBay (#27087) and was able to successfully pair the device. But if I use the built-in Orbit driver, it doesn't seem to open/close the valve. If I use a generic Zigbee switch, however, I can trigger the valve. What steps am I missing to use the built-in driver?
I have 4 and they are working with the official orbit driver. Do you see valve under current state or switch? Sometime switching the driver with none compatible one causes weird behavior.
Try select the correct driver, reset the orbit but don't delete the device in HE and discover again.
Not in front of my hub right now, but did you possibly switch to generic driver and then click “configure”? If so, the valve probably has incorrect parameters. Switch to the Orbit driver, and if available, click the configure button to send the correct parameters to the valve.
Finally got it working! I kept trying to use the Iris discovery - and while it would create a device and it could be eventually used with some tweaking, it wasn't right as @Navat604 noted. So I removed the device and started over, using the Zigbee discovery. Interesting note: if you hit the manual button while the Orbit is in discovery mode, Hubitat seems to pick it up faster. I did have to discover twice to get it to take, but now it shows all the proper options and responds to the buttons.
Ahh... Didn't know you were using the iris discovery instead of Zigbee discovery. Actually I didn't know using Iris discovery would put the Orbit timer on another profile. Glad you got it working.
