You can always make your own with an NC solenoid valve and a controlled outlet - using something like this:

The solenoid does sound like a better idea. I have had to rebuild my orbit valves a few times. Plus they are all plastic and don't hold up at all to even the slightest freeze.
Agree - the Orbit valves are in short supply and don't get much mention outside of here. Maybe it's because they're a problem and headed for discontinuance? I would have spent $15 on eBay but I'm passing on $46. I've got to work out how to get power to where the outside spigots are located so I can use the solenoid valve with a Z-wave or Zigbee switchable plug without too much risk of electrocution.
They haven't been made in several years.
My recommendation is that you get a 12VDC solenoid valve. Plug a 12VDC transformer into the controlled outlet (which should either be in an outdoor rated box, or indoors).
