I have searched for about half an hour and cannot find what I am looking for.
I have an Onkyo TX-RZ3100 and have it connected utilizing the built in driver for HE. I have setup/named all the input sources in the parent and they show up in zone 2 and 3 now. I want to tie zone 2 to a scene control button. I can power on zone 2 and set the volume, but I cannot figure out what I use in the actions of rule machine to set the input source. Can someone show me a screenshot or tell me how this is done?

There aren't any built-in actions to do this, but you can run any command on any device using the Run Custom Action feature.
Choose that as your action, under Set Variable, Mode or File, Run Custom Action > Run Custom Action. Select any capability your device supports (this is just way to get it to appear in the list and doesn't matter past this point), such as Switch, then select your device. Choose setInputSource() as the command, and provide a single string parameter with the name of your input source, That should do it!

So I ended up using my ZEN72 dimmer that is tied to my deck lights and utilizing the triple-tap feature to turn on (button 5) and off (button 6) to control zone 2. What a great thing now that I don't have to open an app to get things working.
NOTE: Disable paddle programming in the device before using triple-tap or you will put the switch into different modes.
