I think [H] does it as well.
No... but each level allows a different sound. E is the only one to bypass silence mode.,
I have to send it as a value, rather than text. I don't know if RM can do that. Maybe try encoding the whole thing as a variable? (Oops...you did that)
[H] does it as well. I just tested it..
They both go through silent mode, but [E] requires an acknowledgement.
High Priority (1)
Messages sent with a priority

are high priority messages that bypass a user's quiet hours.
doesn't happen on mine. Do you have ios or android?
Android
that may be why... I just tested on my iphone and h doesn't bypass silence.
You may need to change the priority. Yours might be at 0. Apparently, Android doesn't care.

I haven't used this in awhile, as I use pushover too, but just tried it and it is still working on my Verizon line.
5551234567@vtext.com still delivered the sms within a couple seconds.
Just because that works when you do it manually, doesn't mean it will work in an app.
Yup - it's not consistent. I've seen messages on the interweb from folks saying their email to text died, came back, died again. One Verizon support person I spoke to told me that their gateway was retired. Really a mess (at least for me and some others) that I just can't depend on any more. Worked great for years, but not now.
On the other hand, some of the capabilities of Pushover are going to be useful (and of course a little bit fun) to integrate.
Why wouldn't it? I don't see where it would matter where the email comes from. What am I missing?
Yes, as far as I've ever seen, if you can send an email, and the integration can send an email, the results are the same. Problems do occur when the integration isn't properly configured to send email. I borked one of my integrations once and took me a bit to see that I had mis-typed my email address.
It just does. Of course it matters to the carriers. They're trying to clamp down on usage they don't like, or whatever the heck they're trying to clamp down on.
I did not know that. Very useful. Is it documented anywhere?
@dennypage Yes. In both the native documentation for pushover support as well as the community enhanced driver
And you think she will ACTUALLY do that?? How long have you been married, a week?
Ah. I couldn't find it because I mistakenly thought that it was a standard Pushover feature rather than specific to Hubitat. My bad.
@dennypage as a side note, everytime i see your name i keep seeing DennyCrane
