Is there a crude way to control it in Hubitat using Google Home? Expose a virtual switch from Hubitat and use an automation in GH to turn on/off the switch each time the door is locked/unlocked? Or unlock/lock the door each time the switch is turned on/off?

I think not it only lets you see it and lock it from GH it won't currently let you unlock it

Nuki 4th generation (non-pro) can be fully controlled (lock and unlock) from AppleHome via Matter.
No codes.

In Hubitat, currently only the lock /unlock status works (via the Matter Bridge package) :

For some reason, Matter protocol lock/unlock commands are returning errors in Hubitat.

matter bridge of what? It connected to the hub max but that is as far as i have got currently?

no this was wrong it did get found just no driver to make it work.

There are no Matter Lock inbuilt drivers in HE, yet. Hopefully, locks support will be added in a future HE platform update.

I am using the community developed Matter Bridge package. It works also with ‘native’ Matter devices, not only Bridges.

However, only the lock/unlock status of the Nuki lock is received. The control does not work.
