For the last 2+ years I've had a smartthings multi contact sensor added to my mailbox and I would get the notification from Alexa and get a push notification that mail has arrived.
Recently I notice that the log shows I have mail but there's no notification from Alexa or push notification
Log shows it was open twice today and no notification
Notfication setup which I've not changed in 2 years.
I've received mail every day, but in the notification, you can see it only shows certain days and nothing from today even though you saw the log shows the mailbox was open today twice.
The IP is fine because Alexa is still notifying me if there was other things happening with other sensors. The only thing I did was move the contact sensor from 1 spot in the mailbox to another, the spot I had it in made it really hard to change the battery, I've tested it myself and the contact sensor is triggering perfectly when it opens and close. I'm going to test it by adding a sengled sensor and see what happens.
After running some more tests with a different contact sensor, I found the issue to be the smartthings multi-purpose contact sensor. It's having a very large delay, if the mailbox stays open for 20+ sec it will then trigger, but before it was instant like it is again with the new sengled contact sensor.
