Does the Hubitat iOS app have to detect presence outside of the geofence to declare a device no longer present or is absence of current location enough to declare a device no longer present?
I ask because I'm testing and attempting to mimic departure by putting my phone in airplane mode but Hubitat isn't declaring my phone as absent.
What I understand is that a Geofence is donut shaped. To exit, you must cross out beyond the outer edge. Arrive doesn't occur until you cross into the inner edge.
The last read coordinates prior to Airplane Mode would remain, I suspect.
The hub does not query they phone, so putting it into airplane mode or turning it off would have no effect.
The phone tells the hub when it has left or entered the geofence. Off course, it also can't do that if airplane mode is on.
