Not getting ios notifications on iphone but works on ipad

I’ve been struggling with this for several days now. I have a hubitat (latest version) using the latest version of the software. I’m running the latest version of the ios app (2.0.9) and I’m having issues with notifications.

If I send a notification (even a test one from the website) it shows up in the hubitat app on my iphone but it doesn’t trigger an ios notification.

I tried using ChatGPT to troubleshoot this and have tried everything including:

uninstalling/reinstalling the app
Resetting the network settings
checking that notifications are enabled
Checking that i’m not in sleep or other focus.
restarting the phone
logging out of the iphone
deleting the iphone from the hub and re-adding the device.
confirming the device is listed as a “mobile app device”

If I send a notification to my ipad it works fine. If I send it to my phone it doesn’t work.

I’m starting to pull my hair out. Any idea/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the community @jeff2 !

Have you checked on the iPhone what permissions the app has? I’m getting notifications on mine and I have these permissions set for Hubitat:

Other than the notification settings, I presume the background app refresh permission is important.

Edit: Oh, and for completeness sake, here’s my notification settings

@jeff2
Log out of the app on iphone (actually click sign out)

Delete your phone from the device list on HE (use a web browser)

Sign back in on your phone and when prompted allow it to create a new device.

Fix any rules using notification to your phone with the new device.

Thank you so much! This fixed it. I tried everything including literally every single thing except I didn’t delete the device after logging out and logging back in.

I deleted and re-added the device (no luck)
I logged out and back in (no luck)
