Non Smart Fan

this is a little hard to explain but i got a ceiling fan that has 2 pull cords to turn on the light and the speed of the fan. does anyone know how if possible to turn it to a "smart" ceiling fan? the light switch is a normal On/Off switch so i could put a "blank" pad face on the switch.

That’s fairly typical so not hard to understand. The answer is yes you can.

The options you have depend on how many wires run from the box containing the switch you mentioned to the fan. Is it two or three conductor (green/bare wire doesn’t count at all)?

The now discontinued Hampton Bay Fan Controller could do this. Inovelli is probably the next closest thing, but they aren't in stock right now.
