I'm thinking about upgrading from C7 to C8. I have a Hub Protect subscription for my C7.
I went to Backup and Restore and viewed Migration Ready backups. The list it blank. Is this because right now I only have the one C7 hub subscription?
You first need to click the button for “ Create a cloud backup for C-8 migration “ to create a “Migration Ready Backup”. Here is a screenshot from my C-5. I did the migration from my C-7 to my C-8 many months ago, went fine. I did have to fool around with some cloud endpoints for cloud-based integrations, though. You do need to be on recent firmware for this option to appear, though.

Update your C7. Mine is Currently running version: 2.3.7.140 and DOES show that option.

Note - I don't have hub protect on my C7 hub, so not sure if that makes it look slightly different or not.
I am running 2.3.7.140, still doesn't show.
I also don't have hub protect on my C7 hub. Might be the difference???

So, for Hub Protect, an ordinary Cloud Backup works. For those without Hub Protect, you get a one-time Migration Cloud Backup.
