Were you able to authenticate? I tried a couple of times. The second time I even waited over 30 minutes and tried the duel browser trick without success.
I got this both times after hitting approve.
Going to give up and try again in a couple of weeks when I can work with it more.
It's working now! Get the most recent version from HPM. Create a new instance of the new v3 integration, create a new app on Home Connect site and do all the stuff w/redirect URLs and Client ID and Secret. You only have to wait about 5 minutes after creating the new app on Home Connnect and to complete the Connect/authentication steps and it should work first time.
Did so for me a few minutes ago. The only issues I ran into was that it didn't create the dishwasher device the first time. I went back into the v3 app and went through the screens again, confirmed the dishwasher was selected, hit Done again and the dishwasher device was created. Excellent!
I did all of that. Based on the error message maybe it was something internal to Home connect at the time. Glad you got it working. I still have not figured out what to use the integration for yet but it still looks interesting. I'll try again next month when I have time to mess with it again.

Oops, my bad, I didn't take the time to look at your error message last night (one of those "Are you still on your computer?!" moments w/the wife when I was supposed to be elsewhere 
) so didn't notice that you had a different error message than the "normal" error message we've been seeing...

The latest version has pretty extensive logging. Next time turn on debug logging and send me the logs.
This error would indicate that the uri, client id, or client secret don't match.
Thanks for the tip but I triple checked the second time around and they indeed did match. I use copy and paste and then verify. I have the original version still running (not doing anything but running nonetheless ). I still think it was something on The HC platform at the time I was trying it.
I was just going to play with it. I really don't have a use for it at the moment. I use an energy reporting Smart plug to "locally" tell me when the dishwasher is running and finished. When I get time again I'll give it another go.

Do we have a step by step installation guide?
What to consider not to destroy the old connection which was a pain to set up.
Is this (screenshot) the new version I have to use and can someone please describe the best way forward.

Yes its ready to test. I will try and post the new thread tonight with the directions. It can happily run side by side.
