No Child Devices for ZEN58

Edit: Not sure what happened, but shortly after posting the request below, I looked again and now see a single child device for the sense line. I also seem to have have complete separation between the Relay and the child sense line. (Child is sense line, Main device is relay)

FWIW, my Preference Settings to achieve this are:
Relay Control=Disable local control
Input Trigger=Disabled
Input Type=Motion Alert

------------Earlier Post:
I seem unable to configure a ZEN58 low voltage relay to display child devices in the device list.

My goal is to decouple the sense lines from the Relay so that the Relay can be controlled from Hubitat while the sense line is separately monitored via Hubitat.

I've accomplished this many times using with the ZEN51 & 52 using the ZEN17 Advanced community driver. However, I am failing to achieve this using either that driver or the normal ZEN58 LV driver.

I am aware that the docs say that the ZEN58 must be excluded and re-adopted for child devices to appear. Not working for me.

Is there some trick or special configuration needed to achieve child devices on a ZEN58?

Thank you.

Hi... I was just playing with this myself. In my case I was trying for value 7 (open/close sensor). At first the child device was not appearing, just as you posted originally.

I then used the universal scanner driver; to set the parameter #5 to 7; saved; and then excluded and re-included using the ZEN58 standard driver. At that point I had the child device as well. I really don't know if setting the parameter in the scanner driver was key to anything or just a coincidence. But it is there and works.

I never tried the universal scanner driver. I did try the community ZEN17 Advanced driver which is what I use with ZEN51 & 52.

I'm not aware that I did anything between the time I wrote the post (when no child was visible) and an hour later when I looked and saw the child was finally visible. I had been expecting two child devices, which is how it appears on a ZEN51, but apparently only one child is required for the 58.
