New Yale lock programing?

I've got a Yale YRD216 ZigBee door lock. The instructions show how to set the master pin after the batteries are installed but then says to use your home automation controller to set the codes. My question is do I set the master code via the key pad then setup the user pins via HE?

You could do either. The keypad can create more user codes, and Hubitat can too. But there are advantages to doing it with Hubitat.

Thanks I went ahead and tried it and got it working, setup a few codes and they are working. Ran a successful report. Now Im trying to figure out how to get notifications when the door is unlocked and who it was. Any help for that?

Use Rule Machine and use the lock code trigger like the following example
