New Location of App Details is very inconvenient for Developers

In prior versions when you were inside an app you could click on the gear and see the values of the app variables etc. If you were debugging an issue you could just do a refresh on this page for the updated information.

With the new system you have to navigate to a seperate window, select the App from the apps list and click on the details link to get the list of variables. The real issue arises now when you want to check on an updated app variable or subscription. As far as I can tell I must do a browser refresh, find the app again, and then click on the app details. Then I must repeat this process every time I want to check on a changed variable.

It may not sound like much but the debugging process is already pretty onerous that adding extra steps would be an own goal. Perhaps there is something I am overlooking but as it stands its very cumbersome vs the prior method.

Perhaps there could be a "developer" setting that would allow the old gear method to be available for those of us writing apps.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't what you're asking for still there? It's jut an "i" icon on both the Apps list page and in the top right of the actual app as of 2.4.1, same place as before with a new icon. And as before, it can be opened in a separate tab/window and be refreshed on demand.

I see what is happening. On my browser (chrome) I have to place the cursor above the "i" (as in vertically above the i) in order for it to be a clickable link.

Something funny about the clickable area for that Icon. The Logs icon is a bit similar in that not the entire icon is clickable, just the top edge and the little exclamation point overlay.

Icouldn't get a screen cap showing my mouse pointer changes at the bottom of those icons. (the pointer disappears when I start the screencap)

But for me, chrome, it works for the full icon area.

Likewise.

My chrome was set to a zoom level of 80%. When I switch to 100% the area at which the link becomes clickable is roughly 1/2 way up the "i" until it hits the upper edge of the circle. So probably 1/2 the size I would expect it to be.
