TL;DR: Weekly curated newsletter covering smart home news and developments across all platforms. Subscribe at smarthomenewsletter dot com (issues every Friday).
I know this is a bit awkward: I’m a Home Assistant user, and yes, I created an account specifically to share this. But hear me out.
I recently started The Smart Home Newsletter because I kept missing important developments in the smart home space. Honestly, whether you are using Hubitat, openHAB, Home Assistant, or something else, we are all dealing with the same underlying technologies anyway.
Things like Matter updates, Zigbee and Z-Wave changes, Thread developments, new device releases, and broader industry moves affect all of us, regardless of platform. Hubitat’s focus on local control and hub-based automation is part of that same ecosystem.
Each week I curate the most relevant smart home news, product launches, and articles from across the industry. It is intentionally platform-agnostic because the ecosystem is bigger than any single platform.
I am not here to convert anyone or compare platforms. I just think there is value in having one place that keeps track of what is happening across the whole smart home world, and I wanted to share it with communities that might find it useful.
You can check it out at smarthomenewsletter dot com. If it is not for you, no worries. And mods, if this is not appropriate here, I understand, even though I read the forum guidelines and did not find anything against this.
