Same here. My C7 has arrive in Seattle yesterday at 6 am, but now I have to wait until it's been moved to my local post office for delivery to my home. USPS is so slow, so I hopefully will get it tomorrow. Oh, looks like I just got a notification that my C7 is out for delivery, so I should get it later today. Cool! I'm looking forward to getting it setup and moving my devices off ST and onto HE.

Was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but is out for delivery today! Hurry up letter carrier!! Super excited to play around with it!!!

Edit: and delivered! this thing is tiny. time to plug it in and have some fun!

Well just got a surprise C-7 delivery, didn’t get a shipping email, but did see the tracking number for the first time on the USPS informed delivery email this morning. Claimed it wasn’t getting here til Wednesday, so it was a nice surprise to see it in front of my door just now!

Now to justify buying a ring keypad...

If it helps.. the older (cheaper) model has more relevant Hubitat features..

It does help, marked down $20 too.. might have to just get two to replace the 20+ year old nonfunctional keypads currently on the walls...

Maybe you were too helpful :joy:

(Impulse buying won out.. 2 first gen on the way)

Ordered mine on the 21st. Still no shipping update emails for me. Did everyone here pick expedited shipping or something?

Guess I should just pipe down and be patient.

...I just want the new shiny toy to play with.

Hello... Vera owner here. I have ordered a HE c7. I se that many Hubitat people have more than one Hubitat ,why? Is there any limitation that makes that you need multiple controllers?

I have a Vera Plus with 50 devices and don't ned multiple.... but I got tired of vera and want to try something new,,,,

I wish I would have seen the coupon code before I checked out yesterday :frowning:

Hello Mattias!! Welcome!

There are a lot of different reasons but a good one is if you plan on keeping the hub for a long time and it becomes "mission critical" in your house/flat then it is probably a good idea to have a backup hub in case something goes wrong.

Another reason is you can distribute control over a larger distance or work around barriers if needed. You would still need a network connection to the hub though.

Some like to have a hub for each type of device - one for Zigbee one for Z-Wave.

You don't really need more than one.

Also some people stick problem devices on the second hub to isolate them from the rest of their mesh.

Just email them and they will apply the coupon. They did for me.

What's the address I should email them at?

Aha ok i see. That must be because Hubitat has not had any backup system for zig and Z-Wave until now with the new protection service. Vera has backup of that so have never crossed my mind. But as a SmartHome user since 6 years you must have fully backups every day so you m use pay for the service that they now will offer otherwise Hubitat is a cliffhanger. I don't mind paying a small fee each month if it works flawless .

I have Z-Wave devices in my garage 25meters away and they work good with vera and hope that I don't need 2 Hubitat because of the distance.

I ordered it from Vesternet UK but they haven't shipped it yet. Though Hubitat did worldwide release but wasn't so... But it probably will come in a week....

It will be interesting to convert to Hubitat environment. It feels a lot different from vera but it will be fun....

Question for you - Does Vera have full radio backup and restore capability, to a different Vera hub, for both Z-Wave and Zigbee radios? The documentation that I have seen seems to refer to just Z-Wave. I am just cusrious.

You probably won't if it worked with Vera. Worst case you get an additional repeater to help strengthen the mesh.. Speaking of which make sure you build your mesh outwards from the hub.

Not sure how modern this is but...
