New Hub issues

Short version: New to Hubitat and trying to set up a new C7. I'm stuck. Hub has a green light, but I cannot get into the management page or the 8081 tools. Both time out.

Long version:
I completed initial setup and logged into the hub. Got a notice to update firmware to 2.2.5.119. Initiated the process. It became stuck at "applying update". Did some searching on this forum and found the diagnostic tools. Logged in using that and first did a reboot. No joy. Could not get management screen to open. Back to diagnostic tools this time a soft reset. No joy. Same result. Back to diagnostic tools, this time hard reset. No joy same result. Back to diagnostic tools this time revert. This worked. Got into hub. Scanned for first device, a ST motion sensor. Found it but thought it was a moisture sensor. Edited device type and initiated a reboot. Hub rebooted to green light but now will not respond to a browser, even the 8081. Power cycle got me the same result. This is rough.

Does your router have a static DHCP reservation for the hub?

Funny you should mention that. I think that is the issue. Fing showed muliple IP's even though I had set a reservation. I had this happen before with google WIFI if I use the new "Home" app. Stay tuned...

Sometimes you just need to type out your issue in order to find the answer.

Google WIFI is moving users to a new management app which isn't handling DHCP reservations well for me. I used the old app to set the reservation and I'm off to the races again. My sensor is even working right. Had nothing to do with the hub.

I think I'll hold off on the firmware update for a bit though.

Thanks for the help!

If you are able to perform the update and find the new IP being utilized, you could go the other route that was just introduced in 2.2.5 by assigning a static IP in the hubitat instead (pick one outside of your DHCP pool).
