New Homebridge Plug-in via MakerAPI

The strange thing is that even if i keep the device in the default room a reboot still throws those errors. Only happens with new devices all my previous devices before the updates to homebridge and HE don't get deleted

Your homebridge cache is messed up, I can see that.

You have the following in the log:

The text in bold should either be "device" or "mode" or "alarmSystem" but in your case it is the device name. I am trying to see right now how we can get you out of that.

1. stop homebridge
2. add the following entry to your homebridge configuration file in the section for the maker API plugin:
   "delete_cache_devices": true
3. start homebridge and wait until it is booted up. This should remove all "bad" entires
4. stop homebridge
5. detete that new entry from your configuration file
6. start homebridge and try it again

I hve the same invalid devices as @shawnx1 and a "delete_cache_devices": true didn't help me.

Okay gave it try same results. at least it's only 4 devices I can live with that and it only happens when rebooting Homebridge. Hopefully more people will try to add new devices to homebridge and see if they get this problem. I thinking I'll need to delete makerAPI to fix this ugh

You switch over to a fresh c7 right? Did you have to install Makerapi or did you do the restore apps and settings thing?

Ok, I can see in this log that every device was removed and then cleanly added. What happens with the next reboot?

Well I'll take what I can get I'll probably give it a try myself but I have doubts it would fix this problem.

Just reinstalled from scratch, same problems with fresh Makerapi app. don't bother with removing makerApi.the problem is most likely not on our end something changed

all devices get this error homebridge ends up adding them back after restart it clears stale cache every restart
If someone else running this plugin can just share a new device with Homebridge then restart homebridge see if you get the same Invalid device that would help a lot thanks. time to see what's differences are with other homebridge apps

I was just about to remove my MakerAPI and start over. Now I will wait and see if someone finds a solution.

I’m willing to do tests if someone have an idea they wanna have tested to solve this.

I ended up installing Homebridge Hubitat Tonesto7 if you don't want to wait working fine.

very true, I've tried everything though, I even rolled back to Hombridge 1.25 with no success. Only thing i can think of is something changed in makerapi might be waiting a while.

Wish I had a spare hub that I could try 2.2.5 or earlier. I have spent the weekend setting up my new C7 and configuring my old C5 as a ZigBee light bulb hub. It was kind of a pain so don’t want to mess with anything major right now.
If I rolled back to 2.2.5 I’m sure my C7 would explode and die.

I have 7 hubs. One of them is a C-7 that is running 2.2.6.

I can probably start a MakerAPI instance and add that to yet-another-Homebridge instance. I think this must be a common config though. Like @dan.t I've encountered the HomeKit DB implosion many times over the years I've been using Homebridge/HomeKit. I haven't seen it in a very long time however. My current connection to Homebridge is via HubConnect, but the behind-the-scenes of that interaction with the Homebridge NodeJS instance is highly similar. I upgraded that Hub to 2.2.6 and have yet to see any Homebridge/HomeKit wobbles.

Although I could build up a comparison test, I suspect the critical element not available to me is the Room Allocation already being in place. I can't start today and get devices added to rooms, in order that an upgrade would have the potential to kill it.
