New Device - GE/Jasco Outdoor Outlet 14298-2

@bcopeland : I just got a (simple) outdoor outlet (S2 auth capable) that wasn't recognized.

Here's the fingerprint:

fingerprint mfr:"0063", prod:"4F50", deviceId:"3034", inClusters:"0x5E,0x55,0x6C,0x9F,0x22"

Description: GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Outdoor Switch, 1-Outlet Plug-In (2nd Gen.), Weather-Resistant, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, for Landscape & Seasonal Lighting, ZWave Hub Required, 14298,Black

Note that this does appear to have a "double tap" function:

Any zwave 700 stuff in that box??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Dunno about the 700 series (didn't bother checking the certification details).

But, it does appear to have a "double tap" feature on the button.

Just that, in my current use case, it's in a box outside and I don't particularly have a great use for it. But, it might be useful for some people.

Dang, you get all the cool toys! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yup

I keep waiting for the new leak sensor or contact sensor to be available... :frowning:

Although the leak/freeze sensor is kinda big/bulky... But can be USB powered... Hmmm...

I will comment that the plug/cord assembly on these is annoyingly short. If your outdoor electrical box is surface mounted, there is no way you are going to be able to affix this to the wall and it will just be hanging. You can barely get the cord out of an "in use" cover. I ended up making a short extension cord and mounting the whole thing in another waterproof box with cable glands.

Indeed it is! I was going to have to leave it hanging--then I changed my mind on the location and put the thing entirely in my waterproof box. lol

A better plug design for these would be:
