New C-8 Pro not responding to switch on/off

I have a new C-8 Pro to replace my Vera Z-wave controller. My issue is that when a light switch is turned on the base does not get the signal that it is on so the basic routine "when switch turns on, wait 45 min then turn switch off" does not work. I can easily command the light on and off from the dashboard. If this was one switch I would replace it but it is 4 wall switches (GE). Do I have an issue with the base controller? The on/off from time for my Christmas lights work perfectly - help would be appreciated!

What model are the switches? Some older Z-Wave switches do not report status promptly due to licensing/patent issues, and may need to be polled by the hub to get status quickly. Solutions like Vera and SmartThings did polling automatically, while HE does not poll devices unless you specifically ask it to.

You can install the Z-Wave Poller app (it's a built-in app, but needs to be installed to use it) from the "Add built-in app" option at the top of the Apps page. Then set polling for just the devices you need to poll.

Great Call! I added the Poller app and selected the switches. It didn't seem to work at first but after a re-boot it looks like they are responding to the manually operated switches and displaying correctly. Thanks for your help!
