New app issues

C8, (app issues on android - galaxy s23)

  1. cloud dashboards load, but it takes 3 minutes (high speed internet - local works fantastic - old app still works fantastic also)
  2. also on new app: there is a suggestion to "add a favorite device by selecting the star on the devices page". Where is this "star", can not find it, and when I click on that tab within the app it takes me to a blank devices page - none of my devices are there.

This below is what it should look like on the Devices tab in the Android app... each device has a "Favorite" star you can select/de-select:

...but sounds like you're saying that you're not seeing any rooms or devices on your Devices tab?

What do you see on your home screen in the Android app? You should see your hub at the top w/ "(Local) after it.

Well 1st, on my app I can not get out of (cloud) at THIS location. My other locations (when I am there) do show up as local. My home page is similar to yours. On my devices page, it is blank.
Not that it matters, but on my legacy hubitat app my devices DO populate.

Thanks...not sure what you mean by "THIS location." Are you saying you have multiple homes each w/its own HE hub, and when you're in your current location, with your phone on the same Wi-Fi subnet as your hub at that location, you get (Cloud) next to your hub name instead of (Local)?

If so, that's a known issue for a small number of users, unfortunately, that is being worked on but hasn't been solved for everyone yet...see this topic:

This may or may not be the issue of why the device page is blank. When I used the new app for the first time on my Android phone, My device page was blank when I selected the device tab. It was only by accident that I discovered the the header at the top of the page "All my devices" is not a fixed label but is really a toggle to display or not display devices. When I clicked "All my devices", the devices appeared. I thought I'd throw that out in case it is relevant to your situation.

Yes, 3 separate locations. 2 of my locations go local, this one stays on cloud. However, none of the locations (cloud or local) show my devices (only the legacy app).

My device page only shows a + sign (where it says add a device), and the 3 inline dots (that show "collapse all, show no room assigned, and hide unsupported devices).

I'd drop into the other topic, make a reply to Bobby that you are also experiencing this issue and the additional details behind your multiple locations.

Regarding none of the apps appearing, I haven't seen that before, but have to then I haven't been following mobile issues too closely as I really don't use the app at all.

This continues to be a problem plaguing me with the new app.

Every time I'm away from home and I need to open a dashboard I try to do so in the new app and get just a loading circle. After a 20 seconds I give up and switch to the old app and the dashboard page immediately opens.

Similar issue here away from home: dashboards fail on wifi (icon with cirle or page not found) but works instantly by turning off wifi on my phone and using phone carrier network.

I have the same issue, GS22 Ultra on Android 14. Dashboards rarely load when away from home on a mobile network, even if it's a strong signal 5g etc. Only way I've found around it is to use my remote admin functionality and access dashboards via there. Like you, old app has no issues

Yesterday I did have problems accessing my dashboards with the new app, either by wifi or cellular. Today, all is well on both.

I just re-installed the old app. Tired of the new app with logiin issues and being slow.

I've had the same problem with the new app from the start--it has never shown any devices on the device page. I thought maybe it was my ad blocking software, but I unstalled that and my problems persist.
