I have two Nest Thermostats that I want to integrate with Hubitat. I know there were issues doing this last year. Has anyone figured out how to do this since?
Which type of Nest Thermostats? The 4th generation learning and the basic Nest Thermostat can bring brought in via Matter and have local control. If you want more options, you can use [RELEASE] Google SDM API - Nest integration to bring in all Nest thermostats; though, it will be via cloud control.
I think it is 3rd Generation. How do I find out for sure?
I did try to use the Google SDM API, but I could not get past certain steps.
When I tried to Authorize it from the App, I get this:
If you got into the Google Home app and select the device. Click the gear button at the top and then select device information. The model is located towards the bottom of the screen. The 4th generation learning was released in August 2024. The basic thermostat was released a few years ago.
If you having issues with the SDM, I'd post in the provided thread to see if the author can provide some help.
