Hi Chaps,

Just a quick one- Iā€™m looking to install flex neon light strip tape in the garage. Found a few options on Ali express.

For ease of use just wanted to use a Wi-Fi wall plug and a sensor so when the garage door opens and the car drives in the neon flex tape comes on.

My questions is the following

  • Would it be best to use the smart plug with sensor or use a led controller with the lights strip that has tauya control?

Ease of use? A simple set of 5v lights with a USB power plug IMO.

90 quid for what you've linked to is grossly excessive IMO.

Also unless it has previous state from no power it's not gonna work right.
