Hey there everyone. So I’ve been collecting a ton of resources for my mom to get help with my dad who has Alzheimer’s. I am looking for a way to put all of this on a tablet with a dashboard to all the information she needs.
Here is the catch. It can’t be multiple apps and it can’t be books marks. She fears learning how to use tech so what I really need is a screen that shows all of the information in one place. The information consist of phone numbers and documentation to help her and my dad. I’d also like to be able to update the feed remotely as I get important info for her. As a bonus maybe even show a calendar where I can put reminders for upcoming appointments.
As a last resort I could host my own web page and lock that screen on an old iPad but I really don’t have time to develop and support that.
She does have an echo but I haven’t found anything that would help me through that device either.
That’s what I’ve been doing but eventually they are getting lost so I have to print them again. Not to mention many of the articles contain so many numbers and locations that she feels overwhelmed on the correct one to call. I also want to be able to get the information to her as I find it and if I could have a single screen that is like a news feed she wouldn’t have to know how to use the device.
If you don't have time to build your own webpage, then use an ipad in single app mode with a kiosk browser displaying a Dakboard dashboard. They have the modules you are looking for and easy remote access to put messages on the screen, calendar, and iframes.
