Need Driver to control ussolid valves

[On a side note, I think it's interesting that the app provides % open. I've never seen that before.]: Yes you control the valve to open or close partially and it is very precise. Very usefull to control high flows.

[Is there power in the box to operate the valve and controller, or is this a battery/solar powered type of situation? Does that wifi module have to be plugged in? Wifi usually uses more power, no? Etc, etc.]:
-The valve only use 5VDC from a USB standard power source, that was one of my main reason to select it because I want to power them with a UPS.
-No solar panel but I think it has a battery inside because if you select for instance to stay closed in case of a power failure it close it by it self (I mean even without power) so that means it has a battery inside with enough power to close/open it (and that's nice).

[Also, check out the radio reception through that concrete box, with cover on-several times to make sure. Maybe you'll have to drill a little hole to let the antenna wire stick out, lol.]:
All my house is made of concrete and walls are 200mm thick. Between the valve and the wifi router there is 1 of these walls and in the case of the other 2 valves are like 2 or 3 walls and all of them work perfectly so reception is goog enough

This definitely will be possible with ZWave or Zigbee control integrated with HE.
I am bit confused - Do you need to know just a valve status or you need to know if
water is actually supplied from the service?
In case you need to know if water is flowing I would add either a Pressure Sensor
or even Water Meter with Pulse output.

Sure i will be happy to help you to complete nice DIY project, integrated with HE and
having 100% local control (and yes, with ability for remote control as well).

[Do you need to know just a valve status or you need to know if
water is actually supplied from the service?]
Actually both....here we use tanks to store water so we use the valves to fill the tanks and once filled operates the valves and continue using the service as you call it. When the service is over then we need to operate valves again to close the entrance and restore water from the tanks.... the problem is, as you mentioned, we need "something" to notify us when the service is connected again (water on the pipe). For that I'm using a Sinope Moisture Sensor but installed on an elbow... check my photo on the right side of the pipe you will see the sensor and it is working great so far.
- But my main goal is to be able to make all the logic be automatic or manual and for that I need HE be able to control the valves (at least open and close), but I don't want to lose the ability to control the flow as well.

I know.. you will suggest to buy a flow meter, or a pressure sensor... etc, etc... but again... guys the monthly medium salary here is 20 USD so one of my goals is to save money LOL..... If that TUYA driver works then all will be solved.... I will let you know. I'm making the tests now...

[kkossev] save me some time here please... that driver is to control TUYA devices with HE but I think they cannot be controlled offline.. is that correct?

If I need internet any way maybe is better to use IFTTT or Google Home with some virtual switches.

Please let me know before to dig into Tuya cloud platform.

Yes. the Tuya Cloud integration will not work offline.

This local integration will work offline - probably the tuyaThreeGangSwitch driver will also control the valve), but I can not be sure.

Jonathan has also local Tuya switch driver - this one may be easier to setup :

[kkossev] You are a genius!! LOL
I'M CONFIRMING THESE VALVES ARE WORKING PERFECTLY FINE WITH HUBITAT ELEVATION !

It was a little bit tricky at the beginning but if you follow all the instructions step by step is not complicated (tutorial are very clear).
I followed this one suggested by [kkossev]: https://github.com/ivarho/hubitatappndevice/tree/master/Device/tuyaDevices , is the best in my opinion as you don't need to get involved with BlueStack or other simulators to get your keys.

Yes I can only Open/Close them from HE and see their status but that's enough for me from HE. If you want the rest of the features these valves have like Schedule, Countdown, Partial Close or Open, Power failure status to "off", "on" or "memory", or even make some logic on the same app, you can access them by the app, both methods can work together.
I tested offline too....and are working fine.

I'm very happy now with my selection .

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!! THIS COMMUNITY IS THE BEST I EVER SAW.
*Sorry for my English.. it is not my mother tongue.

Hi aldomekin2021 … I bought two US Solid Smart Motorized Ball Valves, same as you. But on the Smart Life app, I am able to only add 1 valve. How do you add the second valve and control it on the app? Anyone else can respond as well. Thanks in advance.

Hi, you didn't mention what error are you receiving or if you are an advanced user or not. So I will start by the basic step:

Of course there are some points you need to assure to pair the valves successfully:

  • Is your 2nd valve reset and in pairing mode?
  • Is the 2nd valve in place where the range of the wifi is strong enough? you can pair it near the router before installation and then move it to the location you will use it (just to assure that is not the problem. this just an idea, no the official way to do it).
  • Do you have a dhcp server running on you network and the new assigned ip have internet access?. This is an important point because maybe you valve is getting ip but without access to internet and they need to be "registered" on the tuya servers so they need to connect the internet at least one time.

Sorry if these points are to obvious for you but I have no idea what kind of user you are....
I will be glad to help you with any further question based only on my experience of use because I am far from being a specialist on this matter

Note: One of my valves faced a problem when I installed it and it result to be a faulty plug inside the valve (that was a defect on the plug itself not in the manufacture or assembly of the valve's board. Sometimes it worked and sometimes not like a false contact, so is not fair to say that was a USSOLID quality issue) .
USSOLID support respond fast enough and authorized me to open the valve and check for a visible problem. That result to be a faulty plug and they replaced the valve without hesitation immediately. I'm very pleased with them regarding the way they faced the issue. Maybe you have a similar problem with one of yours.... does it turn on the led and operates when you press the physical button? .. please give us more info to help you.

Hello again aldomekin2021 …. Thanks for your quick response and potential problem with the valve. I managed to fanagal a little bit and got it to work! Both valves working great.
