Hi, I installed the application MYQ lite and it is integrating properly. However it doesn’t get updates if the door is opened manually (button or car home link). I installed a door contact sensor and tried to add it to the Myq lite but I got the attached error.
Please advice the best way to add to a dashboard and reflect the door status regardless of how it is triggered.
That definitely does not work with the MyQ integration. It cannot be seen by Hubitat.
I believe you will need to convert this to a tilt sensor. You could create a virtual acceleration (tilt) sensor, and have a couple basic rules that when contact is open, tilt is set to active, and vise-versa.
Not true. I have Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 7 and it works flawlessly with the MyQ Lite integration and Dashboard tile. I chose a contact sensor because that will show open if someone pries the door up slightly.
You are walked through the process in the install. The point to understand is that a SEPARATE sensor is needed from the MyQ sensor because Chamberlain/LiftMaster does not and will not expose its sensors to Hubitat.
I just did the same thing and had the same error. You need to change the garage door type from MyQ-Door opener-NoSensor to the regular door (with sensor) and it works now.
