Multi State Virtual Switch That Can Trigger Alexa Routines

Got it. Thank you.

Yeah, as soon as Heroku started charging I set up my own server. I used the instruction in the link that was posted, but I did the (or without) with nodejs and npm.

I had a PI3 laying around already, so I downloaded the Rasberry PI imager app for Windows, and the image, and wrote the card. Booted up the PI, let it do the updates, then I just copy-pasted the commands from the instructions. It is easiest to ssh to the pi to copy-paste the commands, or bring up the instructions in the browser on the PI to copy paste.

Then I setup the Echo Speaks server on Hubitat as instructed. So it isn't too bad, but if the cookie server could run on the hub, it would be much better.

I think I will have a go at some point as I imagine that Voice Monkey will start charging in the future. Thank you for your help.

I started using Voice Monkey back when I was still on SmartThings, and Samsung banned the Echo Speaks app for the platform because it ran totally on their servers and did too much polling. It was totally free then.

They only started charging last year, but it was only like $5 year, and that was to get the ability to trigger routines. Since then, they now moved routine triggers back to the free level, and their subscription level is only to get more features, but for $2.99/month.
