I'm moving a C-8 hub from one location to another (different network, everything...) to replace a C-5 hub. I don't need anything on the C-8, as this hub was already migrated to a C-8 Pro, however I would like to migrate the C-5 to the the C-8 without losing anything. All Hubs registered to me and I DO NOT have a subscription to any of the hubs. My understanding is that there is a migration process from a C-5 to C-8, however I am not sure how to prepare the C-8. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
If you migrate Z-Wave and Zigbee, pretty much everything is going to be reset anyway, so there's probably not much of a need to worry about doing anything yourself. You can reset the radios from the "Advanced" section in the Diagnostic Tool if you really want to or aren't migrating radios, just in case. You could also do a soft reset while you're here, then you'll get an option to migrate when you turn the hub on next time, but even on a fully set up hub, you can do a migration from Settings.
Otherwise a full reset (which you can also do there) isn't really going to do anything for you that a migration won't except un-register you, which there likely isn't much reason to do if you're just setting it up for yourself again.
Thank you for the details. The soft rest should work for me. I will then proceed with the migration from one hub to another. Once again thank you.
