Would the ecolink 2.5 pir be better than the zooz 4-1 motion sensor with pets under 5lbs but still be sensitive to other motions?
The Ecolink devices do have jumpers for pet setting (don't know about the Zooz) but PIR motion sensors can be set off with a blast of warm air coming from a heat vent or the sun coming out from behind the clouds. So much of the success of motion sensors will come down to placement and some of the after engineering mentioned above. A group of sensors using the built in motion zones app can be used to lessen false positives and combined with some of the other above techniques should yield reasonable results.
