Monoprice 6-Zone Amp Child Devices in Alexa

I've recently moved my Monoprice 6-Zone Amp integration over from SmartThings.

Working well except that the zone devices show up in Alexa as simple switches. SmartThings exposed them to Alexa as dimmers, I guess, which allowed for voice control of volume.

Is there a setting in the driver that I missed?

Also looking at this too. I was using the community device drive, where i was able to export them as dimmers to google home.

@briggs.m_hubitat, I've now got a working solution -- albeit a workaround with rules and virtual devices -- described in this thread.
