You know, I have one... the battery has died... and I have not missed it. In fact I like not getting told that the dryer is dry a minute or two before our dryer automatically turns off (it is new enough to do that itself). So it really never saved us any time/energy. They never got around to making it more available (or did not get back to me more if they did) so I basically just forgot about it.
Every once in a while I notice it in the dryer, think I should find a replacement battery, and then promptly forget about it as I am dealing with my laundry.
