Moes Tuya Motion Sensor distance issue TS0202 - have to be ridiculously close to detect movement

I'm using the following:

  • endpointId: 01
  • application: 44
  • manufacturer: _TYZB01_vwqnz1sn
  • model: TS0202

With latest Tuya Multi Sensor 4 in 1 Driver

I have to be ridiculously close <1m for it to detect movement!

I tried to set sensitivity HIGH in the advance settings and i get this:

but that didnt work.

I didn't try Set Par options since this is for Mmwave sensors only right?

and btw, if the configuration value doesnt appear in the device info does that mean it's not supported

It doesnt say anything about distance or sensitivity or delay

But looking at resources online it seems the device is configurable thru the app (w/c i have not tried because it needs the official hub w/c i dont have)

These symbols (the exclamation sign in the red circle) in Tuya mobile app indicate, that the parameters were changed, but not confirmed by the device yet.

At the time when you wake up the sensor, Tuya will send the changed sensitivity and 'keep time' settings to the device, and if confirmed the warning signs will disappear.

Im not actually using that app, or any of the tuya hubs. I just borrowed that screenshot from the internet :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm still interested to know if the configuration value doesnt appear in the device info, even after waking it up and letting it run for a bit, does that mean that these configurations/options are not supported?

Hi @tj1 , did you find solution how to fix it? I have same model and same issue: distance less 1M. in manual said that detection distance and angel are adjustable.

Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet so i set this sensor aside for now. Perhaps it will work with Tuya Hubs? Lemme know if you do find anything on it too. Good luck

I have this as well and really requires at least 1 foot away from the sensor. @tj1 were you able to make this work?

Please post your device model and manufacturer, as shown on the HE web page ‘Device Details’.

There are at least 20 different TS0202 devices made by different manufacturers, all behave differently…

Is your device manufacturer : _TYZB01_vwqnz1sn ?
