Agreed. However, a running list of the latest update version would be nice (even if just for the short term while they fix all the bugs).

No, thank you for suggesting it... 
And, with that, I checked for updates. Playstore didn't find any. But, then I searched for Hubitat, and an update was available. (Exactly the reason behind the request. Google has some algorithm where updates do not get pushed right away even when they are available)
Downloaded and confirmed that not only are modes working again, but they are flat out instant when they load.
