I have C7 Hub and want to know if I change the name of a MODE, and have the MODE used in APPS, will it break the APPS its used in?
Depends on the app and how it handles things. Modes actually have two identifiers, a name and a numeric ID. Apps that use the numeric ID will be fine. I think most built-in apps do this. Other apps may vary.
You can take a backup of your hub before making the change so you have something to restore to later in case any apps do break and you're unable to fix it yourself (which should also be possible with most).
