Mode status bug?

Is anybody else experiencing an issue with the modes status on the app home page?

I changed the mode manually to night, went to change it this morning, and I can't load the modes.
I go into mode manager instead and it says day mode, but the app home page still says night, so I don't think the mode changed last night.

I've tried changing mode in mode manager to night then day, no changes to the app home page.
I've also cleared the app cache. I haven't tried clearing data yet, but I'd rather not just yet.

A few things that might help others help you...

  • What Hubitat Android App version are you running?
  • What HE platform version are you running on the HE hub the Android App is connected to?
  • Do you have more than one HE hub?
    • If yes, are you comparing the Mode Manager on the same HE hub as the Android App is connected to?
  • Can you check the modes page under Settings as a way to confirm whether the mode changes or not.... Just to rule out any issues in Mode Manager (not that I am expecting this to be an issue)
  • Do other comm's between the Android App and the HE hub work? Like GeoFence changes or notifications? Or device control? Dasboard display?
  • Do you have another Android device that you could use to test the same actions?

Yes, I have the same issue with the modes status on my Android. It is a known issue that the staff is working on..... 203 (255) mode page doesn't load - #7 by Timbb

That topic is under the Beta category, Depends what version @sim1987 is running. Could likely be the same issue, but may be worth confirming it first.

I'm also not seeing the same issue on 2.0.3(258)

Interesting....the mode status on my android is not correct and I am running 2.0.3(258).

Galaxy S21....HE platform 2.3.9.174....and yes the mode status on the HE platform is correct and does change correctly (verified by Chrome browser)....Notifications and device control on the app do work correctly....the only app glitch appears to be the mode status.

I will just wait and see if the next app update fixes the mode issue.

I'm also running the same 2.3.9.174 platform version. Just changed modes.... Needed to exit out and go back into the app to see the change, but it picked it up.

OK...I just exited out of the app and logged back in, but the mode is still not correct. I can change it using a dashboard from the Chrome browser and it does change, it just doesn't show correctly on the android app.

I can even switch to a dashboard from within the mobile app and change the mode. It just doesn't show correctly on the mobile app home page. When I click it shows "Loading Modes...." and gets stuck.

No big deal....I will wait for the next android mobile app update and see if it gets corrected

Modes has problems on any Mobile App version of 2.0+ on Android when paired with any platform version between 2.3.9.168-174. They know about it. Again, the problem only effects Android users on the new app apparently.
