New to Hubitat, but I feel like i'm struggling with what I thought was a simple setup in Mode Manager.
Virtual present transition from away and back seems to work. Sunrise did not trigger the mode switch to day and there seems to be a discrepancy in the log times.
Right now it is 1530, and it is in night when as i believe i have it configured, evening starts at 1700 and night at 2200. So it should be day.
Transition to evening and night happened appropriately according to logs in past logs, but not transition to day based on sunrise.
But under Mode Manager Events, the dates are all +4 from the "past logs" (which is the GMT offset btw) and it also shows no transition to day. P.S. I also noticed that a SL Rule for my outdoor lights, turn on at sunset and off and sunrise, also did not fire for sunrise.
Just a quick question.
Is your location set correctly?
Is your time zone set correctly?
Also worth noting is if you reset your time zone as it was incorrect, the old logs DO NOT change their time stamp.
So you could have a situation where you have old logs at the top (in past logs) even though they are from, say, 2 hours ago.
Location was properly set according to map.
TZ is set. Was US/Eastern, trying America/New York now.
Anyone else in the US can advise what the correct TZ should be for this user?
Under Americas/New York (and a restart for good measure), i'm seeing new event entries coming in at the right time under the one that was +4h.
Yeah....if you look at your logs, it did change to evening at 1700....it just wasn't 1700 for you yet. I have my timezone for US/Eastern though. I don't know if Americas/NY will work or not. Some of the tz settings are odd like that.

Just to follow up / close this out. Since switching to Americas/NY everything seems to be going according to schedule.

That might work... I've just never used it. I was just sharing what setting I used. Glad everything is working now.
