I installed the app on my phone and I can see dashboards and devices, I can also see presence information, based on GeoFencing, is working, however no notifications are sent to the device. Even when I edit the phone in devices and send a test i can see it on the right, and in the event logs, but nothing reaches the phone.
Any thoughts? I have removed and re-added the app on my phone with no success.
Check to make sure you have allowed notifications from the Hubitat mobile app in your phone settings.
Notifications are allowed. Notifications in the app show nothing (empty screen), I would expect a notification to appear there even if Android suppressed the notification.
I donโt know about Android, but if I donโt allow an app in iOS to send notifications, then Iโm not going to get one.
I would delete the device in the hub, relaunch the app and create a new device for the phone.

Good idea. I removed the device from the hub, however not sure where to re-add the device for the phone when launching the app.
Personally I had so much problem with built in notifications that I simply went with Pushover which has worked flawlessly for me. It's capabilities are also great.

I am actually trying to test Twilio, Pushover and HE notifications to see which I like best. I dont care for any that actually require an app, so I'm leaning toward Twilio. However I'd really like to get HE notifications working first so I can do a valid test.
Well, you don't need the pushover app open for notifications to work. Like Hubitat you just need the app installed, the rest is handled via oauth token. I honestly can't remember the last time I actually opened pushover
After you delete the device on the hub, go into the mobile app and tap Send Geo event under the settings. This will create a new device for your phone.

That did it, thanks! And once the new device appeared, I was able to send notifications...
