no email notification, but the indicator was set when i logged back in

Nothing I'm afraid.
Same but I had the site open so possibly no email because of that? I don't really use the emails right now I just go on the site often enough.

Did you get the notification for my follow-up test?
Can you please confirm that the "watching" flag is enabled for this category as shown in this picture?
I get both the email and the notification "bubble" in the upper right for your posts.

For those missing emails. Please check your email settings under preferences.
Default value is not to email if you were active in the community within past 10 min:

Watching is selected, but it's not green.
Notifications are showing up in upper right on Avatar.

Yes I got the follow up alert as well. No email but that’s because I was on the site which is fine.

Thank you all for your help. I am unable to replicate or to confirm that there is an issue with the notifications, but will continue to monitor the problem closely.
