Misbehaving Device

One misbehaving device can cause havoc on the zigbee mesh.... I had noticed one device after another stopping communication over the past few days.. I had also noticed some delays creeping in from device events..

Looked back in my logs and noticed it started after I installed a new zigbee plug/repeater...

I unplugged the device and rebooted my hub and everything is working now... I know it wasn’t the reboot alone that fixed it as I had rebooted my hub yesterday after the ring issue..

What’s really odd is it was causing devices I had installed starting to show up as null devices... Weird...

Probably a buggy firmware on the device.. I will try and get a firmware update for it tomorrow and see if I can get it to behave...

Just wanted to share

What sort of device is it?

It was a iris v2 smart plug... Which is weird because I have 4 of these that are working fine.. That’s why I suspect device firmware to be the issue..

It’s also interesting that the z-wave network was having no issues... I had heard that some firmware versions on these had issues on the z-wave repeater side... But not on the zigbee side...
