Where and how are you logging?

Logging to a mySQL database using MakerAPI to publish the events to Node-RED. For writing the logs to the database, I use the websocket node.

Hubitat logs to db using Node-RED - LONG READ

A couple of people asked if I could document my process for using Node-RED to store and display HE logs, so here goes: Overall design Log data to DB : Node-RED WebSocket node subscribes to the data published by the logsocket connection on HE and stores the data into a mySQL database. If the log type is anything other than "debug", "info" or "warn", the flow sends out an SMS/email via Gmail using the email node. For capturing the events to db, I based it on this flow with the exception that I use Node-RED dashboards instead of Grafana:

Hubitat > NodeRed > MySQL > Grafana (LONG READ)

Just a warning: This is a LONG read. I'm a NodeRed junkie for home automation tasks. I find it easy to do everything from network monitoring to rotating log files and firing off complex automations in Hubitat that I don't find Rule Manager suitable for. With that said, the topic here is getting your logs and events from your Hubitat hub and finally into Grafana.
