Migrated from Wink, have Nest, Homekit and would like one Dashboard

I just made the jump to Hubitat from Wink and love it. Due to no Nest integration I was thinking about getting a Starling hub, adding nest to it and then I would have Hubitat and Homekit as the two ecosystems running my house. I also have a few devices that were already in Homekit. I want to get everything on one dashboard to control from a Kiosk iPad in the wall. I am also moving away from Frontpoint and want to get some door sensors, motion, and alarm siren to integrate into Hubitat. Any suggestions to one dashboard and what sensors to use?? I am new to the site, but it looks like the community is awesome. I have spent several hours on dashboards and like what I have, but I would really like to get both on one dashboard. Thank you for the help

HomeKit is intended, by Apple, to be the center of the universe. They want to be 'The Hub" so to speak. They aren't interested in joining Homekit accessories to Homekit accessories.

Hubitat can become an accessory like many things via a connection through Homebridge. That part is simple enough.

You can easily take a Zwave switch or Zigbee dimmer from Hubitat into Homekit. Then you can control them from the Home App. And that concept is the key to getting device data into Hubitat.

You create fake devices.. called virtual.. and send them to Homekit. On the Apple side, you use Automations to stitch the two together.

I pair all my devices to Hubitat exclusively (except for my Thermostats which are only compatible with HomeKit). I expose the HE devices to HomeKit via Homebridge. This provides a single HomeKit Interface for all my devices. I can also control the devices via my Google Home Minis in every room. All automations still run from Hubitat. I actually rarely use “dashboards” to manually control anything since most actions are fully automated or controllable via voice, but it’s nice to have a single nice interface if needed. I also use HomeKit for all security sensor notifications (so I can receive them on my phone). This setup is rock solid.

EDIT: I am not familiar with Frontpoint, but I have Vista 20p with a large number of wired zones. It’s integrated with Hubitat and I get all notifications (doors/windows/glass breaks/motion) in HomeKit. The notifications are almost instant when on WiFi, and maybe 5-10 second delay when on cellular. I would assume any HE-integrated security system will work as just fast/reliably -as long as it’s not cloud-based.

Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it

Thank you for your reply. I will keep plugging along. I wanted to try and get everything to one dashboard and also see my Nest products. I have nest thermostats, cameras and smoke detectors. It would be nice to get them all on one iPad screen that would be mounted on the wall.

Hi, I have the similar situation with nest cameras, protects, doorbell, and Nest X Yale lock. Were you able to connect these devices to Homekit via Starling or via hooking to Hubitat and then as virtual devices to Homekit?
