Migrate to Z-Wave JS not available c8 (c8 pro the option is available)

I have a c8pro and a c8 hub both running platform version
2.4.1.152
The c8pro shows the new option to migrate to Z-wave JS but the c8 does not have this option available (see below screenshot). Should this option be available on c8 hubs?

No. It was determined that at this time that the memory is insufficient for the new JS.

My c8 only runs 35 zwave devices on 1st floor and has zigbee disabled. Might there be an option to trial enable this on a c8?

Don't ask me. I just know that there were multiple issues running it on anything other than a Pro.

Some in the Beta group have had success with it running on the C-8 and I actually have it running successfully on my C-7s. On some configurations there appears to be a memory leak with the C-8 (might also occur on the C8-Pro but it has more memory available) that in my case limited my time between reboots to 4-5 days. I still activate it every new release to see if something in the mix has corrected the issue and am running it now on my C-8 - time will tell.

I have it running on three C-8's and one C-7 with no more issues than I had with zip gateway... So I'm sticking with JS on all my hubs until something breaks... But I was not one of those that had memory issues, so JS was an easier option...

There are manual endpoints to switch your hub, but I haven't seen them posted outside of the beta and not sure if that is a no no.

What was your free memory range before you enabled JS? It would be handy to be able to define "memory issue"

Some folks were getting low memory warnings and there were folks who reported reboots and other issues they tied to memory... Again, I didn't have those problems so it wasn't something I paid a lot of attention to... Not that I didn't have different issues with the first few iterations, but they were not memory related and the developers got them ironed out... So now, its pretty stable for me...

Takes about an additional 50K on load, but if it has a problem it also β€œloses” memory quicker requiring a reboot at around day 4-5.

I might give it a try a little later down the line. After around a month memory was around 180 Meg. I turned off Matter and I've since removed Homekit and gone back to Homebridge which I still had running on a Pi. I noticed after the last few reboots that memory is a little higher in general.

I had to switch back to original as my fringe zwave lights were only getting triggered 1/3 of the time, even though all devices has registered in. I will try again and perform a full power cycle post the change to see if it helps

I was using it during the Beta with a C-8 and had a problem a couple of times. I switched back while out of town but just re-enabled JS using the endpoint. I am a risk-taker
