HI, I've got this working after a fair bit of playing around. I'd like to use the strobe on the Xiaomi Gateway as an alarm for some moisture sensors but when the action is triggered, the HE Logs show "connection refused". Can the HE actually talk back to the Gateway and trigger the strobe or audible alarms?
cheers
Scott
Yes it should do.
thanks, I deleted the gateway and then re-added it. all sorted
Hi is there a particular Xiaomi Gateway version that works of I can get any latest version and it will work?
This is what I found.,
Hello Aaiyar, how you getting along with mi connector? Still using and any problems?
I tried once but only got a small selection of devices to show up. In looking at this procedure I'm wondering if a direct integration could be built. If my suspicions are correct, the broadlink direct HE integration built by @cybrmage uses UDP to communicate with the broadlink , and i think the Xiaomi hub can do the same in dev mode.
This would open up a whole new world of xiaomi sensors to HE. Sensors that are well made and affordable, and never fall off the Xiaomi hub(25bucks).
Same here. Got it to work with a couple devices paired to the Xiaomi hub. But, for now, Xiaomi devices are rock stable on my Hubitat - so I've left them there.
That would be pretty awesome if there's a direct integration like the Broadlink one.
Odd, all the devices I added showed fine here, if they didnt I rebooted the docker and then they did
I misstated what I meant. All the devices I paired to the Mi Hub showed up. I only paired a couple.
I have 29 Xiaomi/Aqara devices connected via the Mi-Connector app and I'm not having any issues.
I've not seen anything like that.
I do a power down/up of the Mi Home hub once a week and apart from when my doorbell rings, I only see "Initialise Zigbee Device" in the logs and an error when its starting back up again.

Wonder if its a firmware thing? Did you allow yours to be updated?
Mine says firmware is up to date and I'm running 1.4.1_175.0220.
Yeah, same here. Thanks for that
Anyone know if the Mi Connector can be installed on a Windows PC? Not very familiar with Docker so wasn't sure?
Thanks
No. Just get a cheap RPi and you're all set.
Looks like you can install on windows as per this guide ... How to install Raspberry Pi's Raspbian OS on a PC - TechRepublic
OK. I finally got the DGNWG02LM hub! Added hub to mobile app, added one aqara motion sensor, then begun following the instructions and got stuck at STEP 10.
I've tried all evening and am stuck. But the key difference here is I am using a PC with Docker for Windows installed.
I've been able to install marian and mi-connector and when I reboot the docker app, the mi-connector is running but the marian is not by default. I can run it and it will turn green if that matters.
The key point is, I get stuck at Open Mi Connector web settings page (http://X.X.X.X:30000/settings)
Say I installed Docker on my PC with an IP address of 192.168.0.254. When I enter command, http://192.168.0.254:30000/settings, it says cannot reach this page. Do I need to add this port to firewall?? Is this the correct IP. I read online that each container created has its own IP address start with 172.17..
I think if I can get past this part and enter the DB settings, I'll be able to move forward to the next obstacle. I know I'm not using a NAS or RPi, but hopefully this can work with Docker installed for a Windows PC. This PC is on 24/7 running my IP cameras and serving my family streaming entertainment etc...
Any advice would be appreciated...
All I can say is a followed the instructions for installation on an RPi.
I had a couple of problems along the way but they were my doing not the process.
If you look around post 97 someone had the same issue and got it working.
@emersonvier any advice you can offer @mwoo.t1?
