I also think you are missing @hydro311 (Chris's) point. The way you have your rule written regardless of using basic rules or Rule Machine the lights will turn off after one minute of turning on even if people are still present (motion) in the room. Are you sure you didn't modify your rule around the time of the malfunction? I don't understand how this rule would have performed any differently at any point.
Here is another rule that worked perfectly in RM. Never had any problems with it.
On the one screenshot you will notice I still need to change to Linptech.
*UPDATED
Increased the time to 1 minute and 45 seconds. It was only 45 seconds and worked fine.
I am to think that the Meross is a better product? If so why did it stop working??
Well, GOOD NEWS the above rule I just tested and I was in the kitchen for almost five minutes and the lights stayed on. ![]()
Don't get it.

There is a HUGE difference in the rule that didn't work and the rule that did. The rule that didn't work was set up to turn the lights off after one minute regardless of motion was still present or not. After one minute they were turning off regardless.
The rule that did work waited till motion was inactive for one minute and forty five seconds then turn the light off.
That is two HUGE differences in the requirements to turn the lights off.
Also, it has zero to do with the difference in Meross and Linptech.
Okay I can admit when I am wrong. Thank guys.
With that said I think there is two parts to it not working here is one of the other rules and it still only stays on for one minute.
I am sorry about wasting your time. I had that in my list of rules that worked.
Going to swap out the Meross for Linptech and see what happens. 3;35 pm
Just tested the Linptech and it worked great!! 3:50 pm
That rule should work as you intended so if not then there is possibly an issue with Meross sensor. Looks like that is the case if you put the Linptech in service with the same rule and it worked.
No need to apologize, the others and I just wanted to make sure you understand how the rules worked because we didn't want you chasing a hardware issue if it was a rule issue. I am sure the most of us have been there at one point and it is frustrating.
