I thought the point of matter was that it was by directional but there seems to be a issue on Hubitat. Got a matter thermostat and when i change it on one system it updates on Google Home but it never updates in hubitat unless i press refresh?
Using the below because the general didnt work at all.
Try issuing the Initialize command. Sometimes that will jumpstart the communication flow.
Did not make a difference though.
Had the samething yesterday with a govee light on a C7. Worked in homekit, not on hubitat and initialize nor configure got it working. When i checked the debug logs i was getting queue full errors so I did a full shutdown / power off to fix it, but a reboot should work too if you also see queue full errors in the debug logs.

No change @bcopeland do you have any issues with the matter drivers?
I have this problem from time to time. Sometimes it's Homekit that doesn't update and sometimes it's the HE side. Usually an Initialize fixes it.
@support_team Could we look in to this please. I assume it something with the driver because they never update but on all other systems the devices are tied too it works fine.
I have added a 5 mins refresh to the device to try and keep it working.
Also why does the generic matter thermostat driver not work at all?
I don't know why its not working, what is the actual thermostat being used?, also can you post a screen shot of the data section of the driver details?
And when you switch to the generaic matter thermostst driver, then click configure what happens?

The 'Meross Matter Thermostat' driver is working OK with my Tado X (TRV):
