I have had nothing but trouble with my Matter RGBW Bulbs. So I am going remove them from service until I have more control over them. I set them up as follows.
4 Total
4 on at dusk
2 off at 9PM
All off at sunrise.
I also set them up for Halloween (color orange)
This morning after sunrise I accessed each device to change them to 2700K.
Pulled each device up individually.
Clicked on ON, no toggle
I also set the temp a 2700, level 100.
I have had had continued problems controlling them under the device tab.
I have a couple other Matter devices that I am also going to remove because of the same problems. Toggleing on/off.
I have done the following trying to gain control of the devices.
Initilize, Configure, Refresh and Disableing then enabling Matter. Nothing works
Of note the do actually work eventually when a rule executes in the rule machine but direct control of the device doesnt.
So they are out until this can be solved and I am not purchasing any more matter devices.
These device also have issue where they were comissioned. (ALEXA)
Which bulb brand/manufacturer are you dealing with? - I using Linkind (Leedarson - See: Amazon.com) and they seem to work fine with the "Generic Matter RGBW Light" driver
Some initial thoughts - Do you have latest firmware on the bulbs? (lots of stuff has been refined by Nanoleaf and several others with latter firmware revs), and can you enable debug on these devices, and share the logs to this thread - Just to get some additional eyes on things..
Finally, are these bulbs Matter->Thread, or Matter->Wifi, as the network troubleshoot is going to be different based on that.
Leedarson (ORION) Smart RGBW Bulbs.
They are new, software up to date.
So it sounds like Matter->Wifi, given the Leedarson note above - Also what exactly does "These device also have issue where they were comissioned. (ALEXA)" mean - Do they work OK from the Alexa side?
Finally since it sounds like they have issues on the Device details panel, have you enabled debug logging?, and can you post those logs?
My device data is shown below (again, Linkind) - What are the details you are seeing:
I'll share my matter experience, it ain't ready for primetime, with the exception of TP-Link bulbs. Everything else I tried was just an exercise in frustration. NVR, air conditioner, bulbs. If it were me I'd return those bulbs. I know others here have had better luck, but being an early adopter has its cost.
Sorry I am late responding.
When I cant control the device in the HE they also dont work with Alexa.
I did have debug on when you toggle them all you get is an 1 error that I didn't save. There is no communication and then mysteriously the start working.
And I agree this stuff isn't ready for prime time. I have a couple of switch modules that work on the bench i havent installed yet and a Leviton dimmer installed that works.
For the RGBW bulbs I will stick with WIZ, I could have set them up wit Matter but I was lucky and had an error so I used the WIZ Integration app. I am glad I did the options are great.
For any other devices it's gona be Zigbee or Zwave. I really like Tasmota but it looks like that is going ByBy. I have a mix of everything but Zwave.
