Oopsie. I guess that is always the potential danger in releasing code that doesn't go to a wider beta/test audience first (major releases do, hot fixes don't).
I'm sure they will get it resolved shortly though. They always do!

True, but this "hotfix" was specific to makerapi only 
Implies regression test suite needs some extensions...

I don't expect there is any formal regression testing on hot fixes at all. Just developer testing around the code changes as verification the fix worked and a spot check for issues.
I could be wrong though, as I don't see the dogfood get made. Just best guess.

We've removed 2.2.2.127 from distribution.
If you're having the maker issue noted above on 2.2.2.127 please revert to 2.2.2.126
If you don't use maker API there is no reason to revert to 126 if you're already on 127.

It is pretty darn rare for that to happen. Hubitat's batting average is much better than mine in that regard - so no stones thrown from me!
