All my strip lights that use the Magic Home controller have stopped working and will accept no commands from HE. I have checked and the lights are still connected to my wifi network. I can command them from the Magic Home app and using Alexa via the Magic Home skill.
I have not changed any settings on my network and I believe that this happened after the update to the latest 2.3.5.135. The lights do work and are connected to wifi but HE can't control them any more.
Are there any errors in the logs?
I've had this happen a few times. Hubitat will throw a "spammy device" error when all of them are trying to reconnect (e.g., after a reboot) and functionality will stop. What I've found to work is to disable all of the ones that are throwing errors (from the devices page, click the X in the upper right-hand corner, then tick the box next to the device); then re-enable them one at a time. Once re-enabled, go to the device page and click connect. Wait for the device to start responding and move to the next one.
I found the X on the device page and ticked the check box. Now do I just untick the box to get this to work. I can't find there you say to "click connect".
Unstick the box for one device to re-enable it, then go to the device page. There (my mistake) try clicking on Initialize while watching the logs to make sure it's successful.
I will try.
I can't get this to work. The logs just show excessive hub load which is what you mentioned about a "spammy device".
Still trying to make it work.
You may need to disable all of them, wait 5-10 minutes for the hub load to chill out, then try again
You could also disable them all and reboot the hub. Then re-enable and reconnect them like I mentioned above.
I will try the disable and then reboot. See what happens.
That did it. They are all working as expected. I have been using these for years and never encountered this problem. Thank You for all your help. I couldn't have done it without your help.
