I have a shower light that has a switch but could use a dimmer and a laundry room light that has a dimmer and needs a switch. They are both lutron and are both involved in quite a few rules through rule machine. I know the swap device function doesn't work for lutron, but is there another way to swap them? Could I potentially change their device IDs and network IDs? The idea seems like it would work in theory but I feel like it would cause problems if I actually did it.
Otherwise, I would assume I'll have to create a temporary device and individually remove each switch from each rule then add the new one back. Unless there's a better way....

No, the easiest thing to do is physically swap them then rename them, then change them in the rules.
