Lutron Select RA2 and Pico Zone Controllers? - UK

Hi

Looking for a bit of advice...

I’ve been spec’ing out a lutron lighting system via an installer and a point around the pico remotes surfaced that I want to be sure isn’t going to restrict me when it comes to integration with hubitat

I had suggested going for this remote in most locations:

I liked this remote because it had an obvious on/off switch and I assumed I could use the center button via hubitat to execute scenes or other actions.

I was informed of the below limitations:

“The 3 button raise / lower is what’s referred to as a zone controller. So the top button will turn on any controlled circuits to 100% and the lower button 0%. The Pico installed on the Select RA2 system does not support functions such as press and hold or double tap.”

So my question is, are ‘zone controller’ picos fully supported under hubitat? Will I be able to have lutron handle the simple on/off stuff via the pico directly and then customise the central button and possible up/down buttons to my needs via hubitat? Will (via hubitat), button held events be achievable ?

Anything I should be aware of with the Select RA2 system and hubitat before I pull the trigger...

Thanks in advance!

@bcopeland Anything I should consider re the pico “Zone Controllers” and comparability with Hubitat? Cheers

I have 15 2,3,5 button picos on a ra2 select. Furthest pico is 60 feet from base.
Have each pico on a abc child device.

Works fantasticly, instant execution.
